National Ladies Auxiliary of the Sons of the American Revolution
The Ladies Auxiliary helps the Society in carrying out its mission of inspiring patriotism and informing others of the contributions of our revolutionary ancestors.
Welcome…
Members and Guests welcome to the National Ladies Auxiliary of the Sons of the American Revolution (NLASAR) website!
Our nonprofit association of women embraces the objectives and patriotic activities of the National Society Sons of the American Revolution (NSSAR). We proudly support the NSSAR Compatriots in their mission of historic preservation, education, and patriotism. As an auxiliary, members assist the NSSAR in promoting membership and stimulating greater interest in and support of the NSSAR.
Our members belong to state auxiliaries and in states without auxiliaries as members at large. Would you be interested in joining? Contact our NLASAR 3rd Vice President – our “go-to” officer for membership.

NLASAR meets three times a year: for our annual membership meeting in conjunction with the NSSAR Congress, and at the NSSAR Fall and Spring Leadership meetings held in Louisville, Kentucky, the home of the NSSAR Headquarters. We conduct auxiliary business, but we also have fun!

At each of these gatherings, the NLASAR 1st Vice President plans a program for us, and the 2nd Vice President supervises NLASAR’s Ways and Means activities. A favorite pastime is shopping, and we will have new opportunities along those lines!
The 2024-2026 NLASAR leadership is looking to strengthen our communications and outreach with all the members across the states. We will modernize our NLASAR website, more effectively staying in touch with each member. We will share ideas and visually capture highlights of national and state auxiliaries in our new NLASAR newsletter, The Compatriots’ Companion. The newsletter will feature articles of historical significance, drumming up interest in both NLASAR and NSSAR activities.
In addition, the administration seeks opportunities to support the SAR Education Center and Museum at the Louisville, Kentucky headquarters, which is planned to open in the 2026 semiquincentennial. This modern museum will offer visitors galleries and exhibits that tell the story of American Independence, which happened 250 years ago.
Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Let’s see what we can muster for the museum!

Thank you, Auxiliary members, for being there for our SAR Compatriots!
Kudos to those who don the colonial dress and spark the imagination of young and old by telling what life was like during colonial times.
Hooray to those who join the parades through local communities and pass out flags.
Applause to those accompanying Compatriots who are visiting schools and public commemorations, educating those who enter the swell of American pride in our America 250! roots.
Thank you for whatever you choose to do to support our Compatriots and be their companion. Your NLASAR leadership, particularly the President, appreciates everything you do to help our SAR patriotic cause!
– Becky Osbourn, President 2024-2025
